Together, we’ll be cleaning up the area of the Clinton River that empties into Lake St. Clair, also known as the Clinton River Spillway! This area is incredibly important to keep plastic-free because everything that flows through will inevitably make its way into Lake St. Clair.
In fact, did you know 80% of all ocean plastic makes it’s way into the ocean from rivers? Similarly, that phenomenon happens with our Great Lakes too. So join us as we help keep our rivers and lakes free from plastic pollution! 🪣🧤
WHAT TO KNOW:
Our goal is to cleanup our community while having fun!
Everyone & anyone is welcome!
All cleanup materials will be provided.
Please wear clothing that you don't mind potentially getting a little dirty.
Please bring a reusable water bottle so you can stay hydrated without single-use plastic bottles. We will have water for refills. 🌎
