Join The Cleanup Club and 86 Plastic for a community walk and trash cleanup, followed by s’mores + hot cocoa! 🌎
We’ll be joined by the Troy Public Library Bookmobile from 6-6:30pm — the perfect opportunity to support your public library! 📚
After the community walk and trash cleanup, stick around to weigh our impact + enjoy s’mores and hot cocoa (bring your own mug style!) by the fire pits!
WHAT TO KNOW:
Our goal is to cleanup the community while having fun!
Everyone & anyone is welcome! (Kid-friendly)
All cleanup materials will be provided.
Please bring a reusable water bottle so you can stay hydrated with provided water refills without the single-use plastic! 🌎
WHERE TO MEET:
Meet us at The Rink at Stine Community Park. (The new skating rink located right down the street from the library.)
MEET OUR EVENT PARTNERS:
86 Plastic is a low waste refillery offering bulk goods and plastic-free items located in Troy, Michigan. Claire Mahler opened the shop after taking a gap year from teaching and following her passion to share sustainability with her community. Inspired by years of working in the restaurant industry and the number "86” meaning “no longer available”, the shop was created to help you make small swaps in efforts to cut out single-use plastics.
Troy Public Library promotes lifelong learning with it’s wonderful resource center housing everything from books to fun challenges to programs for all ages.
We hope to see you there! 😊
