Join The Cleanup Club for a morning of beach cleaning, in partnership with Belle Isle Conservancy! 🌊

Every month Belle Isle Conservancy hosts an island-wide cleanup in effort to “keep Belle Isle beautiful” and this May, we’re partnering up to host cleanup efforts at the beach! 🪣🧤

Cleanup efforts will kickoff at 9:30am and wrap up at 12pm. Volunteers can help out for as long as they’d like — whether it’s 30 minutes or the whole time! Every bit cleaned up helps prevent plastic pollution from entering the Detroit River — and ultimately, the Great Lakes.

WHAT TO KNOW:

• Our goal is to cleanup Belle Isle while having fun!

• Everyone & anyone is welcome! Family-friendly.

• All cleanup materials will be provided.

• All volunteers will be required to complete a waiver upon arrival.

• All trash we collect will be weighed for data & advocacy efforts.

• Please bring along a reusable water bottle so you can stay hydrated with provided water refills without single-use plastic. 🌎
