Join The Cleanup Club for our final beach cleanup of 2026 as we work together to protect our Great Lakes from plastic pollution! ๐
Every year 22+ million pounds of plastic pollution enters our Great Lakes, with an estimated 5.5 million of that ending up in Lake Erie. Over the summer, we collected ~thousands~ of pieces of trash from this beach. And we need your help to make an even bigger impact! ๐
This is our final community cleanup of the 2026 season! As the cold weather comes in, weโll be taking a break from our regularly scheduled community events - so help us make this an extra fun one. ๐ฉท
WHAT TO KNOW:
O๏ปฟur goal is to cleanup Lake Erieโs shoreline while having fun!
Everyone & anyone is welcome!
All c๏ปฟleanup materials will be provided.
Please bring along a reusable water bottle so you can stay hydrated with provided water refills without single-use plastic. ๐
All trash we collect will be weighed, counted and categorized with the help of volunteers for Great Lakes plastic pollution research & advocacy efforts.
A state park fee will NOT be required. If there is an attendant at the entrance, please let them know you are participating in a volunteer cleanup event.
The weather can be chilly near the water in the fall, dress in layers to stay warm & cozy.
WHERE TO MEET:
Weโll be meeting on the beach. Drive to the south end of the park and park in the last parking lot (right before the camping area entrance) and walk to the beach.
We hope to see you there! ๐
